The Symposium "Building Knowledge Together: Citizen Science, Communication, and Trust”, opens its call for contributions. The symposium on 5-6 October 2026 is part of the BMFTR-funded project „Trust in Citizen Science“, and supported by the PCST

We are inviting both research and practice insights, focusing on questions like „Can trust in science be fostered through participation in science and related science communication?“ Or „What are best practices regarding communication strategies for fostering trust within citizen science projects?“. You may also submit an innovative format, like a workshop or a demonstration.
Abstracts (5000 characters) may be submitted until April 17, 2026.
The symposium will take place at the Museum für Naturkunde Berlin, right in the center of Berlin, and a sight by itself, but also close to major sights. A social program and some catering will be organized. There is no participation fee, thanks to the funders - the German Ministry for Research, Technology, and Space, as well as the Museum für Naturkunde.
